$880 on shoes

It's not a big secret that I have a major shopping obsession, which I know stresses my husband out quite a bit. But a girl has to have a hobby right?! So I found this extremely funny when Patty boy told me about his dream the other night-- it went something like this. I came home with a huge shopping bag from Foot Locker, which entailed $880 worth of shoes and I over drafted our checking account-- LOL. First of all I can think of many shoe stores I could spend $880 on shoes much before Foot Locker. Still funny though...

So what shoes could I spend that kind of money on???

How about these I'm currently obsessing over..

Who wouldn't want a pair of one of the hottest trends right now- cage shoes?! These are my fav- Vince Camuto via Nordstrom, although I have many others I'm drooling over..

I love these Dolce Vita wedges via Nordstrom. I actually tried these on and they were super comfy even more of a plus. The thick straps and neutral colors would make them good with just about any outfit.

Oh how I long for a pair of Sam Edelman's- especially these spicy little things. Wouldn't these be cute with a fun bright colored dress?? Via Piperlime

I love these cute little turquoise flats also be Dolce Vita via Piperlime- this brand is starting to become one of my favs.

Just simple little black wedges - currently at on the hautelook website for $49, now that is a steal!

And the list could go on and on...

Spring Wish List

Out with the old, in with the new. Spring clothes are time to come out and I couldn't be more excited. This is my fav wardrobe of the year. Especially this year with all of the bright colors, pastels, florals, and blazers.
I never thought I could wear a maxi, and for the longest time banded myself from them because I thought I was too short to pull it off. Well I have grown a love for them and of course now can't have enough. I still may not look that great in them, but they are SO comfy and cute!
This looks so amazingly comfy and versatile. LA Made Convertible Maxi Dress/Skirt.

Sam Edelman Wedges- I MUST FIND A WAY TO GET THESE!

Tinley Road Black Racing Stripe Pant

I have this skirt in a navy/chevron print, but I love it so much I want another color.
Hive and Honey Fold Over Maxi Skirt in turquoise.

Crop boyfriend Jean- I've been looking for the perfect pair and still haven't found them.

Chelsey and Violet Maxi. Seriously this dress is SOOOO CUTE in person!

I also have a new obsession with Stella & Dot. Below are some of my favs, uber cute stuff.

Now if only this Kansas weather can stop being so stupid and get on with Spring!

As we speak I'm drinking a nice hot cup of coffee with the windows open, loving the crisp, fresh breeze, and even more loving this fall weather that is approaching. I'm definitely a lover of summer but am honestly over the heat and looking forward to busting out the boots, scarves, leggings, sweats, and
 warm comfy clothes!
We have lots of fun fall things planned and as my calendar is filling up so is my wish list of fall items:)

Via La Posh Style- I'm just loving the colors of this top. This could be a great work top as well as putting it with a cute pair of skinnies and some gold jewelry.

I am OBSESSED with this top via La Posh Style. Love the lace/denim contrast. Must have.

Loving all the Wildfox line..especially loving this fun top.

Summer Must Have

Who doesn't love themselves a cute pair of wedges?!
I know I sure do, and I could continually buy new pairs ..
A. They are tall, always a plus
B. They are usually comfortable, well at least more comfortable than stilettos.
The website http://www.hautelook.com/ has some great bargain wedges today....I'm so tempted!!
These are all under $50, a few of them are only $30!

Sale. Sale. Sale!

So now that I am married, my husband so to speak has me more on a "budget" which I hate, but hey worth it in the long run right?! So now that I'm on this "budget" I've become a little more of a sale shopper, and honestly do not buy much these days without a coupon or a sale price, crazy I know. As you know, Piperlime is my FAVORITE online shopping site, I've bought anything from dresses, to shoes, to jewelry, to sweaters from this site, and have never been disappointed! A huge plus is they also offer free shipping/free returns = bonus! Welp they are having a great sale right now, so these pretties are added to my "save for later" stash, hmmm what do I have coming up that I could possibly need this stuff for?!

MM Couture Floral Print Dress down from $102 to $38.97, now that's a bargain! I'm loving anything pleated right now so this is right up my ally! Love the girliness of it!

More Pleats! LOVE this Tinley Road Pleated Maxi- this brand is always reasonably priced and they have super cute stuff! Down from $89 to $59

Gotta love me some Chevron! C Luce Belted Dress down from $84 to $49. This would be a great dress for a summer wedding, bridal shower, or brunch + it's my fav color.

Pim Larkin Floral Blazer, so cute with the colored skinnies, it'd be great with several colors or even a distressed skinny jean. Bring on the floral! Down from $69 to $59.

Two of my favorite trends in one- Tinley Road Color Block Dress with the Hi-Lo hemline. You could spice this up with some more color with jewelry and a clutch. Down from $79 to $59.

Free People Lace Shorts with Scalloped Edge - LOVE LOVE LOVE! $78 down to $54. These would be adorable with a denim button up and some wedges.

Sabine Sequin Tank- this cute little number is so fun, I have the perfect pair of corals that would be great with it! $69 down to $35.

Lastly, my favorite, Ella Moss Maxi, which is of course the most expensive and this is a little out of my price range, BUT it is so cute and fun and would just be perfect for my Dominican Republic Trip..... I'll leave the price off for this one...

Much Love,

5 Things

These things are making me smile this week:)

1. Our new flower beds. After four tons of dirt, over 150 stones (all shoveled and lifted by Pat and I) What a difference this can make to a house! (More pics to come of finished product)

2. Pat's new shoes....yes I know, they are not mine, but I'm slightly obsessed with them, and wish I had a pair as cool!! They are actually bright orange and neon green in person, LOVE.

3. My new chevron maxi skirt...seriously SO comfy...I could wear this everyday no doubt.

4. A new lawn chair.
After searching for what seems like forever for a new "laying out" chair I finally found what I was looking for at Target. Do people not make these anymore or what?! AND just to clarify I did stop tanning in tanning beds about a year ago, came to a realization on that one....but I must admit you will find me laying out this summer, relaxing and reading and soaking up some rays. I mean sunlight gives you vitamin D right? So a little is healthy and good for you, I'll just try not to go overboard.

5. A Pop of Glitter (everything is better with a pop of sparkle right?!). I'm obsessed with this multi-colored nail look! I do have to say I've gotten some questions and weird looks about it though...

Much Love~

Five Things

2.26.12
I recently saw this on a blog and thought it was a good idea. These are 5 Things that I'm really lovin' right now, enjoy:)

1. Bethenny Frankel's 5 New Skinnygirl Cockails
I'm not a huge drinker, but when I do have a drink, I'm always looking for something that is as low in calories as possible. One of my favorite drinks are margarita's..yuumm so delicious. But this is something I rarely order- they are loaded in sugar, carbs, pretty much everything my body hates. So when Bethenny released her first cocktail- the skinnygirl margarita, I was hooked! Now whenever we go a mexican restaurant and I feel like a margarita, I will order it skinny style. We recently went to a mexican restaurant and I tried to order one and the waiter looked at me like I was a freak, guess not every restaurant has branched out yet ha! She has recently released five new cocktails- 4 flavors of vodka and a ready to drink Pina Colada..fabulous! She also has a line of wine that I'm super excited to try as well!

2. My New Bookshelf
For sometime now I have been obsessing over a leaning bookshelf, I have no idea why, but once I get something in my head I can't quit thinking about it! I've always thought they were awesome, and have been begging Pat to let me order one, he always claimed we had no room for one. So for my birthday, guess what I got?!?! Yep, a leaning bookshelf, my Mom did good :) I also found the perfect spot for it. Now I have to go shopping to fill it with cute knick knacks! Hobby Lobby here I come!

3. My new SPRING suit
I have to wear suits to work, which sometimes can get kind of annoying, and I wish I could wear business casual, it would really give me so many more options! I was thorougly excited when Wichita got The Limited back in town, because I adore their business clothes!!! I had a giftcard for my birthday and got an excellent deal on this cute khaki suit. I'm so very much looking forward to wearing it with coral, yellow, teal, red, etc.
Anything bright and springy:)

4. Consignment Stores
I hate garage selling. It just creeps me out, something about digging through someone's used stuff in their garage. Anyway, I've never been a fan of buying used stuff until recently. I guess a lot of it has to do with pinterest which has inspired me to be more "crafty" and attempt more DIY projects. My sister's wedding is just around the corner and we have been doing a lot of DIY projects. I'm also planning her shower in April and am also busy crafting as well for that. So now I am OBSESSED with consignment stores...there are a few in Wichita that I can't get enough of.

Absolute Vintage Boutique
Urban Renewal
Mrs. O'Leary's

The anticipation of finding an amazing piece in the store and then imagining what you can do with it and make of it is so much fun! Plus you can bring in your own items to sell and make some money which doesn't hurt either right?!

5. The Vow
Ok, so there was a lot of hype about this movie, and it was good don't get me wrong, but let me tell you the book was 100 times better! There was a few things in the movie that really disappointed me, it kind of got away from what the whole point of the book was, which was to keep the vow, the vows that were said the day they got married. If you haven't read the book, I definitely recommend reading it, it makes you appreciate love and life. It is actuallly written by the husband and wife the movie was based on and it is truly inspirational to see what they went through, I promise you won't be disappointed.
